Planner or BuJo Sundays

Sundays are Planner or Journal “set up for the week” day at Joy Acres. Our Little Slice of Joy doesn’t run well without a lot of planning.

Why dedicate a day to planning?

For most people the work week starts on Monday, so it would make sense to plan out the week on Sunday. I just saw a few eyes roll a bit at that one, lol. No worries, I’m not the least bit offended if you did scoff a little at that. The Old Man does all the time.

I realize, for some, the work week ever ends. The OM works 24/7 with his construction business, so that doesn’t leave him much time at the end of the day for our starting our homestead. Between remodeling our farmhouse and his giving in to my dream of becoming a Chicken and Duck Mom, he has been beyond exhausted (both mentally and physically).

So, as it rightfully should, it falls to me to try to organize the chaos. I can’t say that it’s easy, but I like to think that I keep things moving along by planning out my week in advance. Plus it’s a great excuse to binge watch Netflix while I plan lol. (I even have a tracker in my BuJo for that 🙂 ).

How do I plan out our week?

We use several planning methods here. From Planners to BuJos.

The OM likes to keep it old school with just a wall calendar. While I feed my planner obsession with binders that hold several types of planners.

This system has worked well for us and was going as planned (pun intended, Lol), until I stumbled upon Bullet Journals #BuJos. Several BuJo options have been making their way into our planning mix.

Which should I use? A Planner or a Journal?

There really is no true answer to that question. Using a Planner or a BuJo is more of a personal preference really. Both ways will work.

Can you tell me more?

Of course, I would love to! Every Sunday I will share here, on Little Slice of Joy, tips and tricks about Planners and BuJos.
